Founding Principal
A Marin County native, Michael has over 25 years of experience in landscape planning and design, construction management, and residential development. As a Landscape Architect, he has provided planning, design, technical analysis, construction administration, for custom residential projects, mixed‐use developments and four season resorts.
Michael strives to create environmentally sensitive and people‐friendly spaces for our clients and directs the IDS team to achieve a distinctive blend of naturally occurring features, innovative configurations, and rich textures in our work. As a Landscape Architect, residential designer, and builder, Michael brings a variety of experience to projects that provide his designs an important blend of architecture that is connected to the outdoor environment.
Michael has completed several projects where he has been the visionary, development proponent, and been the development manager. In his free time, you can find Michael hiking the trails with his daughter and wife and dogs, sailing/kitesurfing the Bay Area and beyond, and biking the back roads and trails of Marin. He is a Landscape Architect licensed in the State of California (#CA4076).
