Integrated design studio (IDS) is seeking a creative and motivated landscape draftsperson for a full-time job in our dynamic and growing landscape architecture firm. The ideal candidate will be graphically talented, technically savvy, highly organized, fluent at multitasking and inspired to learn. IDS is a full services landscape architecture and site planning firm, with projects ranging from residential design to school campuses, wineries, and resorts. Our projects are located across the Bay Area wide and throughout the Western US and Mexico. Our office in Mill Valley, CA is home to a multidisciplinary design collaborative of architects, engineers, and designers, and outdoor gardens. Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide support to Landscape Designers and Project Managers as need for all phases of project design
Construction/Permit documents and details (AutoCAD)
3D renderings (Sketchup & Lumion)
Planting and Irrigation Plans
Vegetation Management Plans
Research of building code, planning, and other permitting requirements
Graphic presentations using Adobe Creative Suite
Qualifications:
Desire to be part of an energetic collaborative team
Clear communication skills
Experience working in a landscape architecture office
Experience with concept designs and planting plans
Experience with construction documents
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of California plants and drought tolerate, fire-safe, water efficient standards (desired but not required)
Required: applicants MUST be currently permitted to work in the United States indefinitely
Educational requirements
Undergraduate or graduate degree in landscape architecture required.
